ERMAHGERD. Drugstore Month 2K17 is coming....
Hi hi hi!!! I have missed you, this blog, and all things MUWM for the last couple of months. The truth behind the distance is real, and it's annoying. LIIIIIFE! Being busy and having a dinosaur for a computer made things pretty hard to regularly post anything other than an Instagram here and there. Barf. I hate it. Even though every one you and I both know has a blog these days, blogging is STILL my favorite part of my business. I LOVE to write. I LOVE to talk about products,

Drugstore Pick: Liquid Liner
Some will read the title "Liquid Liner" and immediately hit the back button. Liquids can be a little intimidating, a little messy and a little hard to conquer without a little trial and error. That was me FOR YEARS. But once you master it, you can say goodbye to that shaky, inconsistent line that pencils usually leave behind and HELLO to that solid and sleek eyeliner that you see all over the beauty blogs. (Doesn't it feel like you're the ONLY one who can't get it just-right?

Drugstore Pick: Mascara
Mascara can be hard. What many people forget: mascara is ultimately an extension of the hair on your head. If your hair is naturally stick-straight, its often a rarity to have eyelashes that will curl-up like crazy. If your hair is super thick, it’s pretty normal to see thicker eyelashes when you look in the mirror. Again, this is an OFTEN scenario…not always. Color-treatments and medications will affect your hair and its ability to hold color, hold curl, look thicker, etc. W

Drugstore Pick: Concealer
Concealer. We all need it. (And if you don't...I don't buy it.) Even if you aren't using it to conceal problem areas all over your face, a little concealer on your under-eye will either brighten or conceal your tired, sleepy eyes. My motto: Concealer hides your tired and makes you look alive. Let's say you're strapped for time in the morning and have to do a super minimal look; A lightweight but brightening concealer is your new best friend. Applied under your eyes, down the

Drugstore Pick: BLUSH
I live by verrrrry minimal makeup-rules. Rules often get you stuck in a spot that makes it hard to try new things and products which is right where I DON'T want to be. But. This is one that I FULLY subscribe to: YOU NEED BLUSH. No really. You NEED blush. Even if you aren't going for a pink-cheek, blush will lift your cheekbones making you look THINNER, add structure to your face even if you have little to no makeup on, and make you look ALIVE. For someone who is adament about

Drugstore Pick: Eyeshadow Sticks
Eyeshadow sticks were definitely one product that I had a suuuuuuper pre-conceived notion about, but was proved wrong after one use. My assumption? That a Drugstore-crayon stick of eyeshadow that claimed to wear for 24 hours would be 1. ugly and 2. would barely last a full-day. Let’s be real. I’m a working makeup artist and my kit is FULL of more fancy and expensive eyeshadow than I could ever possibly need. To get me out of my usual routine of brush and shadow palettes and b

Brown is the New Black
Makeup With Me’s Guide to All-brown-everything this season Remember that old-school cardinal rule that your mom/older sister/babysitter used to tell you like a million years ago? “Brown and black don’t go together. It’s either one, or the other.” I remember thinking brown was SO gross when I was younger. If I ever had the option of choosing shoes in either color…black won in a landslide victory. But times…they are a’changin. In real-life…(hello all-black-everything with brown

Fiiiiiiinally. A lip-liner that WILL. NOT. MOVE.
I say I’m obsessed with a lot of products…and I am. But this new Velvet lip-liner from NARS?!? I can’t. It’s too good. Allow me to introduce you to my favorite new lip product: It’s LONG-WEAR. Hello!! These babies go on, and they STAY on. Most liners help your lipstick from feathering or bleeding. Keyword: help. But the way this Velvet lip liner is made, it literally won’t bleed or feather, ever. So that fancy new fall-shade that you’ve picked up won’t end up moving around y

Taking your Makeup bag from Summer to Fall
Well…its arrived: the time to bid adieu to those corals and pinks in your makeup bag and banish them to that special bottom-drawer in your bathroom until next summer. I hate it, but it’s gotta happen. Fall has a lot to offer us this year so thankfully, we’ve got plenty to look forward to when it comes to makeup. Richer tones, lots of smoky deliciousness and bold pops of color that’ll make people ask you… “What the blank is different about you?!” Eyes: This fall, it’s all abou

New Dolce and Gabbana Perfect Mono Eye shadow for the WIN
Holy eye shadow. I wish I knew exactly how long that I anxiously waited for these babies to launch. When I finally got them in my hands, it was like Christmas morning. Times ten. I can hear you now. “What?? Dolce and Gabbana has a makeup line??!?” Yes. And it’s BEAUtiful. Rich, bold pigments…creamy luxurious lipsticks…packaging fit for a queen and a long-wear brow liner that you’ll want to slap your mama for. (What? Idk.) The Perfect Mono is Dolce&Gabbana’s new eye cream shad
