TGIF: THANK GOD IT'S FOUNDATION
Drugstore Picks: Foundation "Ok ladies now let's get in foundation...." I've never been prouder of these words that just came out of my husband's mouth. A Beyonce-lyric-pun about my favorite makeup product ever created?!? My heart could burst. We have taken a long road through the ins and outs of Drugstore makeup all month long. I fell in love with so many products this year, but none that I looked forward to more than foundation. It is my first makeup LOVE. My first "Ohmygod

Blush: YOU NEED IT. Start using it...stat.
Drugstore Pick: BLUSHES It makes you look alive....makes you look less tired....makes you look younger....and makes you look....BETTER. I'll never understand how some women can so casually skip blush. I get the "no-makeup look" is in, but a little bit of subtle blush will pay off all day long, and trick others into thinking that you spent A LOT of time getting ready in the morning, AND keep you looking fresher all day long. Real talk. Blush matters and if you aren't wearing i

I found Gigi's skin....in a bottle.
DRUGSTORE PICKS: PRIMER Errmahgerd. Gigi Hadid's face is my makeup obsession these days. I love that her skin looks luminous, soft and glowy from the inside, ALLLL the time. Who doesn't want all of those things?? Welp, I basically found Gigi's skin....in a bottle. Honestly, I've never been a massive Primer fan. I've said it for years. If a product adds time to a routine and isn't a hundred percent necessary, I don't want it!! But now...... I WANT IT. I tried out a few primers

Drugstore Pick: Bronzer
Bronzer. We need it, we love it, we over-use it. Applied the wrong way = Jersey Shore Applied the right way = Thinner cheeks, skinnier nose, lots of dimension. Bronzer is one of those funny products that is USUALLY used the wrong way right out of the gate. The misconception is that it's sole purpose is to make us look darker/tanner/ and anti-pale. No no no. If you hear nothing else I say, hear this: DON'T APPLY BRONZER ALL OVER YOUR FACE TO LOOK TANNER. Please. When used the

Drugstore Pick: Powders
I was scarred by powder when I was in High School. Back in the days of non-digital cameras... (YES, I am a dinosaur,) we could only rely on disposable cameras to capture all of our memories at dances like Prom or Homecoming. I would be SO excited to get to Target a day later and wait for my photos to print to see just HOW good I looked the night before at the dance. Annnnnd nope. Turns out NO ONE told me that I was Powder Face Mcgee that night. 99% sure I don't remember putti

Drugstore Pick: Foundation
If any makeup item is dear to my heart….its liquid foundation. While it would take a colossal turn-of-events to make me believe that a full-coverage Dept. store foundation isn’t the best….I know there HAVE to be some drugstore options out there for a girl like me with the bar set very high. When looking for the right one, I’m going for: Coverage: I want it to hide the blemishes and imperfections without a lot of work and layers. Long-wear: In NO world, do I want to babysit my

Drugstore Pick: High Definition Powder
High-def powders have a bad reputation these days. We want them so our skin will look softer and photograph better. Most of us aren’t on the red-carpet all the time (although duhhhhhh, we should be,) so we don’t run into quite the problems that Miley and company have. You’ve seen the celeb powder mishaps…haven’t you?? Streaks of white blotches across their faces on the red carpet when being photographed by rows of paparazzi? Oh you haven’t? Well please see exhibit A: People n

Drugstore Pick: Moisturizer
Part of making your makeup look the BEST that it possibly can is moisturized skin. For years, I thought that my breakout would worsen if I used any type of moisturizer because it would be "adding oil." ?!? Not sure where I got that science, but that aint right. Often times, a lack of moisture in the skin will actually cause us to breakout more because it our skin's Ph Balance. Oily girls: you need moisture too!! But the right one. My skin is as dry as it gets. What sucks for

Drugstore Pick: Liquid Liner
Some will read the title "Liquid Liner" and immediately hit the back button. Liquids can be a little intimidating, a little messy and a little hard to conquer without a little trial and error. That was me FOR YEARS. But once you master it, you can say goodbye to that shaky, inconsistent line that pencils usually leave behind and HELLO to that solid and sleek eyeliner that you see all over the beauty blogs. (Doesn't it feel like you're the ONLY one who can't get it just-right?

Drugstore Pick: Mascara
Mascara can be hard. What many people forget: mascara is ultimately an extension of the hair on your head. If your hair is naturally stick-straight, its often a rarity to have eyelashes that will curl-up like crazy. If your hair is super thick, it’s pretty normal to see thicker eyelashes when you look in the mirror. Again, this is an OFTEN scenario…not always. Color-treatments and medications will affect your hair and its ability to hold color, hold curl, look thicker, etc. W
