Drugstore Pick: Lips
There seems to be every possible option for lips in a drugstore. Thousands of shades, tons and tons of different brands and formulas…Matte, sheer, gloss, stains, HOW DO WE CHOSE?! I poked around, used 5 or 6 and wanted to highlight a few. Ultimately, I think we could probably pick 20 different options and review them front to back but we’ll focus on a small handful today! To clarify, I LOVE long-wears, I love matte lipsticks and I generally don't settle on a lipgloss alone. L

Drugstore Pick: Liquid Liner
Some will read the title "Liquid Liner" and immediately hit the back button. Liquids can be a little intimidating, a little messy and a little hard to conquer without a little trial and error. That was me FOR YEARS. But once you master it, you can say goodbye to that shaky, inconsistent line that pencils usually leave behind and HELLO to that solid and sleek eyeliner that you see all over the beauty blogs. (Doesn't it feel like you're the ONLY one who can't get it just-right?

Drugstore Pick: Concealer
Concealer. We all need it. (And if you don't...I don't buy it.) Even if you aren't using it to conceal problem areas all over your face, a little concealer on your under-eye will either brighten or conceal your tired, sleepy eyes. My motto: Concealer hides your tired and makes you look alive. Let's say you're strapped for time in the morning and have to do a super minimal look; A lightweight but brightening concealer is your new best friend. Applied under your eyes, down the

It's baaaaaaaaaack. Drugstore Month is HERE. And it's even better than last year.
Welcome to February. ...to the semi-end of winter, ...to the saddest month of the year for us Seattleites, (RIP Superbowl 49) ...and to MUWM DRUGSTORE MONTH. THE WHY: For years, I've worked for multiple cosmetic lines which exposed me to a TON of Dept. store brands early-on. While I will always love some of those products that hooked me years ago, I've still got bills that have gotta be paid and don't always want to spend SO much on fancy cosmetics. After running into one or

OBSESSED.
What you need to know right up front: 1. I love the look of lipstick; Dark, light or in-between. 2. I like looking alive. 3. I HATE having to maintain a strong lip-color when I commit to one. Now that we're clear...you'll understand why these babies SPEAK MY LANGUAGE. These Revlon Colorburst Balmstains and Matte Balms are UHmazing. Not only do they pack great pigment, but since they're a stain, they last! No seriously. They LAST. I never thought that a big, fat, twist-up cray

Drugstore Pick #12: Foundation = My obsession
I lovvvve a good foundation. Like, reeeeeally love it. When I started getting serious about my own makeup, I was SO THANKFUL for a friend to tell me what Dept. store foundation would work best to cover up all of my discoloration and acne spots. I found a full-coverage foundation that was easy to work with that would last for 16 hour days!! Ding ding ding ding ding. I've worn it for YEARS and I will always love it and recommend it to many no matter what else comes along. So wh

Drugstore Pick #2: Revlon Photoready Skinlights Illuminator
I haven't always been a huge fan of highlighters or illuminators. When used the right way on Khloe Kardashian and JLo, they look AMAZING. But on a girl like me with sometimes-problematic skin, I've felt like I can't make it look the same. Well duh. I ain't Khloe. Or even halfway to JLo. But great news: Products like this Revlon goodie are super easy to use and have been greatly improved overall in the last few years...making it even more simple to get into that radiant, hydra
