Drugstore Pick: Highlight Stick

Oh Sonia Kashuk, you do me so right.

So obsessed with this suuuper easy to use, suuuuuper pretty Highlight stick. Highlighting is the BEST way to look younger, fresher, brighter and HAPPIER. (I don't know about thte last one...but it feels right.) Think about every photo you've seen of a pretty model or celeb with a fresh and bright complexion. Chances are, they're using some sort of liquid or stick highlighter.

The Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Hightlighter Stick: Retails for $11 at my fave place on earth, Target. Comes in two color options. I opted for the pinker one but I would suggest either. Its a full-blown, 100%, NARS Multiple Stick dupe. For a third of the price. Your welcome.

How to use it: Down the bridge of your nose, on your high cheekbones, under your eyebrow and above the bow of your lips either before of after foundation. (Before foundation if you want to go subtle. After foundation if you want it a little more evident.)

MY ONLY COMPLAINT: I'll be honest. It's easy to use because it twists up and you can literally draw it directly on your face. When I applied it in this fashion, I felt like it lifted a little of my foundation in the spots that I used it. Not enough to look crazy, but enough that I could see it. But there's an easy way around it...a makeup brush or your index finger. I applied a generous amount to my index finger and used my hands to put it on my face. It applied perfectly, without lifting my liquid foundation. I did NOT apply a powder on top of this product, as I knew that it would make it look muddy and...not good. If you wear a powder foundation, I would strongly recommend pairing this with a liquid instead!

Verdict: Love it. Fast and easy way to look light and fresh, OR touch-up your makeup mid-day to look engergized and refreshed without a ton of tools or time needed!

Try it, love it, tag me @makeupwithme_!!
